IGEM 2012 - Malaysia Green Exhibition - Electric Vehicle


This year, the highlighted product are Electric Vehicles. An electric vehicle (EV), also referred to as an electric drive vehicle, uses one or more electric motors or traction motors for propulsion. Currently the intensive offered by Malaysia Government to EV is same as Hybrid Vehicle.

Charging Station is the most important infrastructure need for EV to be practical in Malaysia especially for long distance travel as most of the EV battery can go around 150 for full charge. 

An electric vehicle charging station, also called EV charging stationelectric recharging pointcharging point and EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment), is an element in an infrastructure that supplies electric energy for the recharging of plug-in electric vehicles, including all-electric carsneighborhood electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids.
